This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile game The Six Marks (the “App”) handles your information. It is written in plain English so you can understand it without a law degree.
Who this policy is from
The App is published by BalticDan (“we,” “us,” or “our”). If you have any questions about this policy or the App, you can reach us at the email address in the Contact us section below.
What the App is
The Six Marks is a free, single-player, story-driven fighting and combat-RPG campaign. You play an unlisted street fighter working through six rival “Houses” over a multi-day story, with turn/plan-based fights, training, dialogue, moral choices, and multiple endings. It is a self-contained, offline game.
There is no account, no login, no sign-up, no multiplayer, no chat, no online leaderboard, and no user-generated content or social features.
What data we collect
We do not collect any personal data. We do not gather, store, or transmit your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, device identifiers, advertising IDs, or any usage or analytics data.
The App makes no network calls at all. There is no server behind it, and the game does not connect to the internet to run. Because nothing is sent anywhere, there is nothing for us to receive, see, or store on our end.
Information stored on your device
The App saves a small amount of information locally on your device only, using your device's standard browser-style local storage inside the App. Specifically:
- Your game save — your progress through the campaign, choices, and related in-game state.
- Your sound preference — whether you have muted the game's audio.
This information never leaves your device. It is not uploaded, backed up to us, synced to any cloud, or shared with anyone. We cannot see it.
The App is fully offline
To be clear about how the App behaves:
- No internet connection is used or required to play. The App contains no network requests, no external web addresses it contacts, and no remotely loaded code.
- No accounts. You never sign in or create an account.
- No ads are shown. There is no advertising network and no advertising identifier is collected.
- No analytics are active. The App does not track your behavior or report anything about how you play.
- No in-app purchases are active. The App is free and processes no payments.
Important note about dormant (unused) code
In the interest of full honesty: the App's code bundle contains inactive “scaffolding” for features that are not turned on in the current build — specifically a rewarded-ads module (using a mock provider with no real ad network or server), an analytics module (whose default output is a temporary in-memory buffer that transmits nothing), and an “Ark Pass” purchase concept (with no payment system connected). None of these are wired into the game, and none of them collect, transmit, or process any data today. Every statement in this policy — “no data collected,” “no ads,” “no analytics,” “no purchases” — is accurate for the current release.
If we ever activate a real advertising network, a real analytics service, or real payments in a future version, those services typically collect device or advertising identifiers and other data. If that happens, we will update this Privacy Policy and the Google Play Data Safety information before releasing that change, so you always have an accurate picture of what the App does.
Permissions
The App requests no special device permissions beyond what a standard app needs to run. It does not use your location, camera, microphone, contacts, or files, and it does not ask for any of those permissions.
Data retention and deletion
Because your game save and sound preference are stored only on your device:
- They remain on your device for as long as the App is installed.
- If you uninstall the App, this locally stored data is removed from your device along with it.
- You can also clear the App's storage at any time through your device's system settings (App info → Storage), which will erase your saved progress.
We hold no copy of any of this data, so there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf.
Children's privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). It contains mature themes — crime, an organized-crime underworld, stylized fighting and violence, and dark story content — and is intended for teenage and adult players.
That said, the App collects no personal data from anyone, including children. We do not knowingly collect information from children because we do not collect information from any user at all.
How your information is shared
We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose your information to anyone, because we do not collect it. There are no third-party advertising, analytics, or data partners in the current build of the App.
The App is distributed through the Google Play Store. Google may collect certain information as part of operating the store and delivering the App to you (for example, during download or updates). That activity is governed by Google's own privacy policy, not by us, and is separate from anything the App itself does.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. Because the App collects and holds no personal data about you, there is no personal data for us to access, correct, export, or delete. If you believe you have a privacy concern, please contact us and we will do our best to help.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, if the App changes, or if we activate a feature described in the dormant-code note above. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” at the top of this page and post the updated policy at its usual location. If a change materially affects how the App handles data, we will make sure the updated policy is in place before that change reaches players. We encourage you to review this policy occasionally.
